June 20 - 24, 2026

Extend your journey with a 4-day escape into the storybook landscapes of southern Germany — designed for travelers who value beauty, rest, and a quiet sense of wonder. This add-on offers a slower pace and space to reflect, just as your journey comes to a close.

Our time begins in the alpine village of Füssen, where pastel houses and mountain air welcome us into the heart of Bavaria. Fairytale castles and their turrets and towers echo the region’s royal legacy and romantic spirit. It’s a town where time moves gently — perfect for evening strolls along the river and unhurried meals in cozy inns.

From here, we’ll visit Neuschwanstein Castle, perched high above the trees like something out of a dream. More than a postcard, the castle tells the story of a king whose imagination outpaced his era. Nearby, the mirrored stillness of Alpsee Lake and the green slopes of the surrounding hills invite us to walk, reflect, and linger. We’ll follow winding Alpine roads to Linderhof Palace, a jewel of quiet extravagance tucked into a mountain valley — all gilt, glass, and silence.

Another day leads us to the wide meadows of the Bavarian countryside, where the Wieskirche rises in soft white and gold — a place made for worship, wonder, and stillness. We’ll continue to Oberammergau, a village that wears its stories on painted walls and wooden carvings. Known for its centuries-old Passion Play, it is a place where faith and beauty meet. Here, we’ll walk, browse, and breathe in the rhythm of a slower world.

By evening, we arrive in Munich, a vibrant blend of old-world charm and modern energy, where grand boulevards, baroque churches, and bustling markets tell the story of Bavaria’s cultural heart. From lively beer gardens shaded by chestnut trees to historic halls echoing with laughter and clinking steins, the city invites you to savor its warm, communal spirit.

We’ll gather for a celebratory dinner in the heart of the city—a time to remember, to share, and to give thanks. Around the table, stories flow and laughter lingers, as friendships—both new and long-standing—are deepened and cherished in the warmth of shared experience.

Throughout the extension, you’ll stay in carefully chosen 4-star hotels that reflect the character of the region. Whether sipping wine or beer in a mountain inn, wandering through baroque halls, or pausing in a quiet church, each moment is designed to help you savor and enjoy the beauty of Germany.

This is not just a few more days in Europe. It’s a soft landing — a space to breathe, reflect, and carry home all that this journey has meant.

Southern Germany is ready to welcome you — quiet, noble, and breathtakingly beautiful.

Castles & Alpine Valleys

After breakfast at the hotel, we set out for a morning visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, the legendary 19th-century fortress built by Bavaria’s “Fairy Tale King,” Ludwig II. Whether ascending by shuttle or on foot, the approach offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and lakes. A guided tour through the richly adorned interiors reveals the king’s romantic imagination, while a short walk to Marienbrücke rewards us with iconic photos of the castle nestled among the cliffs.

We pause midday for lunch at a lakeside café near Alpsee or enjoy a thoughtfully arranged picnic in the crisp mountain air.

In the afternoon, our journey continues through scenic Alpine valleys toward Linderhof Palace, Ludwig’s most intimate and refined residence. There, we stroll through ornate halls and French-style gardens, discovering his singular vision of beauty and solitude.

By late afternoon, we return to Füssen for a relaxed evening. Dinner awaits at a welcoming local Gasthof or our hotel restaurant—featuring warm hospitality and the rich flavors of the Allgäu region.

Trip Travel Insurance

No one ever wants to use travel insurance—just like no one wants to use car or health insurance. It’s something you hope you’ll never need, but when unexpected situations arise—a missed flight, a family emergency, or a sudden illness—you’ll be thankful it’s in place. Travel insurance is your safety net for a rainy day, offering peace of mind so you can focus on enjoying the experience in front of you. Choosing the right travel insurance is a key part of thoughtful trip planning, and it ensures that you’re covered if things don’t go exactly as expected.

Types of Policies

Travel insurance is not included in the cost of the trip but is strongly recommended by True Hope Travel for travelers to consider.

Medical Insurance (Travel Medical Coverage) - Covers medical expenses incurred while traveling abroad, including emergency care, hospital stays, and sometimes medical evacuation.

Trip Cancellation Insurance - Reimburses non-refundable trip costs if you have to cancel your trip for a covered reason (e.g. illness, injury, family emergency, or natural disaster).

Trip Interruption Insurance - Covers costs if your trip is unexpectedly cut short due to covered reasons, such as a medical emergency or a family situation back home.

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) Insurance - An optional upgrade that allows you to cancel your trip for any reason not covered under standard policies. To qualify, CFAR must usually be purchased within 1–2 weeks of your first trip payment and typically reimburses 50–75% of your trip cost.
